No mystery and no pressure. Here is exactly what happens, from the moment you book your free lesson to the day you catch yourself thinking in Greek.
From complete beginner to comfortable conversation, one lesson at a time.
A relaxed thirty to forty five minute chat. We meet, I get a feel for your level, and we talk about what you actually want from Greek. Nothing to prepare and nothing to prove.
I put together a plan around your goals and your pace, and suggest how often we should meet. You choose the times that fit your week.
Live one to one sessions where you do most of the talking, with notes to keep and light practice between lessons if you want it.
Structured enough to make real progress, relaxed enough that you look forward to it.
A few easy minutes catching up in Greek at your level. It tunes your ear in and quietly reminds you how much you already know.
Each lesson has a theme: ordering food, talking about your family, or a grammar point that has been bothering you. You always leave with something usable.
Roleplays and real conversation rather than drills. The bakery, the phone call, the family dinner. Whatever your Greek life actually looks like.
New words, phrases and a short recap land in your inbox after every lesson, so nothing gets lost and revision takes minutes.
You do not need to know a single word. And if you are rusty rather than new, you are especially welcome.
We start with the alphabet and your first real phrases. Within a few lessons you will be greeting, ordering and introducing yourself with a straight face.
You understand Greek but freeze when it is your turn to speak. This is the most common place people start with me, and unlocking it is what I love most.
You can hold a conversation and now you want depth, speed and nuance: the slang, the humour, the confidence to argue about football.
Lessons happen over video call, so you can learn from Sydney, Chicago, London or a balcony in Greece. All you need is a quiet spot.
Most people meet once or twice a week. We agree the length and rhythm together in your free lesson.
Need to move a lesson? Let me know in good time and we will find another slot. I would rather keep you going than punish you for a busy week.
Your first lesson is genuinely free, with no card and no commitment. If I am not the right teacher for you, we part as friends.
For now every lesson is private one to one, which is the fastest way to get you speaking. Small circles of three to five learners at the same level are on the way, for those who would like to practise alongside others. Ask me to add you to the list when you book.
Not at all, and it is one of the nicest places to start because everything is new and progress feels fast. We begin with the alphabet and the sounds, and you will be saying real, useful phrases in your very first lessons.
Almost everyone tells me this in the first lesson. A private lesson is the safest place in the world to be imperfect: it is just you and me, and your mistakes are simply how I find the next thing worth teaching you. I am not judging you, I promise.
Once a week is the most popular rhythm and works well for steady progress. Twice a week moves faster if you have a deadline like a trip or a family visit. I will suggest what suits your goals in the free lesson.
Only as much as you want to. You will get notes and a few light suggestions after each lesson. Even ten minutes here and there makes a difference, but the lesson itself is where the real work happens.
Yes, and that is my default. Grammar appears when it helps you say what you want to say, explained simply and in context, rather than as a list of rules to memorise.
Just let me know in good time and we will reschedule. Life happens, and I would much rather keep you learning than charge you for a difficult week.
One relaxed conversation is all it takes to find your level and see how this feels. No card, no commitment.
